MyLittleMonsters was inspired by our own little Monster Dylan.
Following the countless newborn/baby purchases and gifts, we quickly found ourselves asking...
"What are our children's products made out of?"
After going down the rabbit hole what we found was truly shocking.
Everything synthetic and plastic based, made from of harsh/toxic chemicals, and at what cost?
It all started with an innocent soother
baby shower/new born presents
Everything Polyester, Everything Plastic
Everywhere we looked, all we saw was polyester. From blankets, to teddies to bibs to bedding. It was/is EVERYWHERE,
Nearly all of the products we found for children, were plastic based.
It isn't grown. It isn't natural.
It's manufactured from oil, in a process built for industry, not for a child's bedroom.
It starts as Petrol
Plastic starts as crude oil — the same fossil fuel pumped from the ground to make petrol. Refineries heat it under extreme pressure and break it apart into raw chemical building blocks. Those building blocks are then chained together, link by link, into the material we call plastic.
Mixed with thousands of toxic chemicals
It's a mix of over 16,000 different chemicals (additives, dyes, softeners, and stabilisers, all combined to make it bendable, colourful, or heat-resistant).
Of those 16,000, roughly 10,000 have never been tested for safety.
Nobody, not the manufacturers, not the regulators actually knows what most of them do to a developing body.
How is something made from Petrol and chemicals become the material of choice for new borns/children?
Plastic doesnt biodegrade.
It takes hundreds of years to break down
Only 9% of all plastic ever is recycled, the rest still exists, and production is accelerating.
2 million tonnes in 1950 to 460 million+ now.
This is the planet-level implication: a growing problem with no exit.

MyLittleMonsters is inspired by the incredible bravery of my mother Kashmir, who passed away following a long tough battle with cancer, a disease which countless evidence shows is preventable and likely caused by exposure to the hidden toxins in everyday life.
Her strength drives our mission to challenge the status quo, create safer alternatives, and empower families to make healthier, informed choices.
Our brand honours her legacy and the countless others who have faced the same battle, striving for a future where prevention, awareness, and protection come first-for our children and our planet.
